Vitamin B-2 (Riboflavin) is a water-soluble vitamin and essential for energy production through metabolism of foods, proper cell growth and function, and maintenance of digestive tract lining.
As our bodies cannot store Vitamin B-2, it has to be obtained from our diet on a daily basis. Common food sources include meat, eggs, dairy products, and green vegetables (e.g. broccoli and spinach). Vitamin B-2 deficiency symptoms include sores or cracks at the corner of mouth, hair loss, swollen throat and tiredness.
